You’ll find breathtaking views of both woods and water. Crafted in 1929 of local timber milled on-site and hand-forged iron hardware—all created by Mr. Bliss himself. The accommodations are rustic and refined. Each cabin features pieces of the original furniture that welcomed guests in days gone by.

The Lodge and cabins were re-imagined in the 1990s with great care taken to preserve its historical integrity, yet add modern conveniences to enhance the guest experience. The community of cabins, all nestled close in proximity, offer a great gathering space for extended family get-togethers or a fun opportunity to get to know other guests while visiting! With a sip of wine at sunset, you’ll get swept away looking out at the tranquil beauty of Lake Michigan’s pristine waters and the beauty of the simple, yet elegant Bliss architecture.

We know you’ll find Blisswood to be as incredibly special as we do. Located on Scenic Highway 119, Michigan’s iconic Tunnel of Trees, there is so much to discover and explore. We are but thirty miles or less from Mackinac City, Harbor Springs, Petoskey, and a host of hikeable nature preserves dotted throughout the area ---and even closer to the quaint towns of Good Hart and Cross Village.
